Overview
Sustainable Futures Group (SFG) is supporting a leading housing provider to appoint a Building Safety and Fire Manager. This exclusive assignment focuses on fire safety compliance and building safety, with a resident-focused approach.
Location: Hybrid – based from Epsom or Tunbridge Wells offices (approximately 2 days in the office, 3 days remote) with occasional site travel across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

The portfolio includes mainly low/medium-rise homes and a small number of high-rise buildings, providing scope to deliver best practice and strong resident-focused outcomes.
About the Role
This newly evolved position sits within a supportive Compliance function and leads a small team of three. You’ll lead on fire safety compliance (approximately 75% of the role) and also support building safety case management and a resident-focused approach to building safety (approximately 25%).
What We’re Looking For
* NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate or equivalent (Essential)
* Strong knowledge of fire safety legislation and the Building Safety Act (Essential)
* Experience overseeing fire risk assessments, remedial actions and managing contractors to deliver compliance (Essential)
* Ability to lead and develop a small team (Essential)
* Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management (or willingness to work towards) (Desirable – full support and funding provided following probation, if not currently held)
* Background in Social Housing, Residential Property, or similar environments (e.g. Student Accommodation, Care, Local Authority) (Essential)
