J ob Title: Cover Supervisor (CS) Location: Rotherham, S60 Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day Start date: Immediate Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time Are you a confident and adaptable individual keen to gain meaningful classroom experience? GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work in schools across the Rotherham area. As a CS, this role is perfect for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced support staff who are eager to guide and support students during teacher absences while maintaining a positive and focused learning environment. Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during the absence of the regular teacher. Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure smooth classroom management. Encourage pupil participation and maintain a safe, inclusive atmosphere. Support students with their learning and answer questions where possible. Follow school behaviour policies and report any concerns to senior staff. Provide feedback to teaching staff about the class progress. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Strong communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage a classroom setting and engage students effectively. Experience working with young people, ideally within a school or similar environment. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
