Job Title: Children’s Residential Support Worker
Location: Crawley
Salary: From £27,581 per annum plus £3k–£6k per annum for sleep ins
Hours: Full-time, 39 hours per week on a rolling shift pattern, 2 on 4 off
We are looking for a children's support worker to become part of our loving family home, caring for young people who have sometimes emotional and behavioural difficulties. You would be the person to give encouragement and praise when needed, to be patient and understanding during times of crisis and to inspire them to grow and develop. The role can be emotionally challenging, but you could be the person to change a child’s life for the better.

Responsibilities
* Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children, led and supported by a registered manager.
* Act as a professional parent, to give encouragement and praise.
* Enjoy activities and outings such as go-karting, paintballing, cinema, bowling, and celebrating milestones.
* Provide emotional and physical support to help children reach their full potential in challenging situations.
* Build friendships and trusting relationships.
* Help children find pleasure in everyday tasks.
* Empower them to make decisions about themselves.
* Ensure a safe home environment; responsibilities include cleaning, laundry, and cooking.
What you need
* Naturally caring, flexible and resilient.
* Passionate about helping children lead happy lives.
* Great communication skills; positive and energetic.
* Experience in care or transferable skills (youth work, education, sports, working with vulnerable people) is beneficial.
* Ability to remain calm during challenging situations.
* Full UK Driving licence is beneficial.
* Willingness to work flexibly, including shifts and sleep-ins.
