The Role
Are you a Finance Business Partner or Business Performance Manager ready to step into a senior commercial finance role where your insights shape the direction of a major FMCG business?
At Sofina Foods, we're looking for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager to work closely with senior stakeholders across our pork division, driving profitability and helping shape strategic decisions across multiple channels-Retail, Foodservice, and Export.
Please note that this role requires a full time office base at either Malton or Grimsby offices.
The Ideal Candidate
You're a commercially sharp, solution-focused finance professional who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments.
* CIMA qualified (preferred) with strong experience in commercial finance, ideally in FMCG
* Proven track record in a senior finance role such as Finance Business Partner or Business Controller
* Advanced Excel skills and a confident user of financial models and business planning tools
* Excellent communicator, able to challenge constructively and influence decision-making
* Analytical and strategic thinker with a sharp eye for margin, cost, and performance metrics
* Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

Your Key Responsibilities
This is more than just a finance role-it's a chance to be at the heart of commercial decision-making, challenging the status quo and influencing change across our business.
You will:
* Deliver high-impact financial analysis to support tenders, promotions, and strategic business planning
* Act as a key strategic finance lead, partnering with commercial and cross-functional teams
* Mitigate inflationary pressures with actionable solutions via sales and category insights
* Improve margin performance through pricing strategy and new product development evaluations
* Provide pre- and post-promotional analysis to guide effective decision-making
* Evaluate raw material alternatives with cost-impact assessments and scenario planning
* Manage customer profitability reporting, offering challenge and support to commercial leads
* Deliver insightful product costing analysis using "what-if" scenarios and margin forecasts
* Support commercial strategies through robust financial modelling and stakeholder engagement
* Lead and contribute to continuous improvement projects with a financial lens
