Sous Chef (Food & Hospitality) Location: Southampton (SO13) Pay Rate: £18.94 per hour (PAYE) Job Type: Temporary The Role We are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to work within a high-quality corporate food service environment in Southampton. This is a hands-on role supporting the Head Chef in delivering high standards of food preparation, service, and kitchen management. Key Responsibilities Supporting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations Preparing and cooking high-quality meals Supervising kitchen staff and ensuring smooth service Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards at all times Managing stock, ordering, and portion control Ensuring compliance with allergen and dietary requirements Requirements Previous experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations Ability to work in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment Leadership skills and the ability to support junior staff Passion for delivering high-quality food Compliance Requirements Right to Work in the UK Food Safety Level 2 minimum (Level 3 preferred) Allergen Awareness knowledge essential References covering recent employment Additional Information Immediate start available Monday to Friday environment (typically corporate setting) Stable, well-structured kitchen environment
