Role and Responsibilities:
As Assistant Branch Manager, you will support the Area Manager in the day-to-day operation of the branch. You’ll help lead the team, support sales growth, and ensure high standards of service, safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Support and develop the branch team, providing first-line people support
* Assist in driving sales growth and delivering excellent customer service
* Support daily branch operations, including orders, quotations and job coordination
* Act as an escalation point for customer queries when required
* Support use of digital tools, including job management systems
* Champion health & safety and ensure compliance with company policies
What we’re looking for
Essential experience
* Experience supporting or managing a team in an operational or service environment
* Strong customer-facing skills with a focus on service excellence
* Confident IT and digital skills
* Organised, proactive and detail-focused approach
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills
* Health & safety awareness
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable experience
* Engineering or service background, ideally within hydraulics or a similar industry
* Supervisory or management experience
* NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering, customer service or management
* Knowledge of hydraulics, hoses and fittings
