Fire Project Engineer – Rail
Join our Transportation team as a Fire Project Engineer on a full‑time permanent contract. You will interface with clients, lead delivery of key assignments, and provide strategic direction for fire engineering projects.
Work in the office 3 days per week with ad‑hoc site travel around Belfast.

Your Responsibilities
* Coordinate work with other contractors
* Liaise with route engineers (discipline)
* Design, install, and commission fire systems
* Review fire strategies and engineering solutions
* Assure fire systems (system design, commissioning)
* Ensure compliance with codes and standards, including evidence of passing relevant courses
* Participate in engineering assurance activities to deliver safe and environmentally responsible projects
* Use risk ID and evaluation methods (e.g., HAZOP, QRA) to evaluate options
* Liaise with project engineers to produce method statements, site works and surveys to required standards
Requirements
* Experience with codes and standards related to fire systems
* Professional membership or accreditation (CIBSE / IET)
* Bachelor’s degree in Fire Engineering or related discipline
* Member of the Institution of Fire Engineers (MIFireE)
* Chartered Fire Engineer registered with the Institution of Fire Engineers (CEng)
