About the role: The Supply Chain Coordinator is responsible for negotiating, implementing and managing supplier agreements that strengthen the JFD supply chain. The role involves developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers to support the overall goals of the organization. Experience in contract and commercial negotiation is essential.
Responsibilities
* Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the efficient and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.
* Manage supplier relationships, including evaluating and selecting suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance against those contracts.
* Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and standards.
* Monitor and evaluate the performance of procurement activities, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient procurement operations.
* Assist in the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures.
* Conduct regular audits of procurement processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as needed.
What you need
* A solid grasp of the processes and tasks involved in procurement with strong experience in contract and commercial negotiation.
* Skilled at analysis and presentation, with a finely tuned attention to detail.
* Adept at problem solving, willing to take responsibility, and organized and methodical in approach.
* Proven ability to deal with key suppliers, build relationships and communicate effectively.
* CIPS qualification desirable but not required; knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations is crucial to ensure compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
* Understanding the tools and materials commonly used in procurement to perform tasks efficiently.
* Experience in a related position is preferred to ensure familiarity with responsibilities and challenges.
* Effective communication with the procurement team and other departments, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
* Flexible to work autonomously and collaboratively.
