About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a Children’s Residential Support Worker to join a well-established residential care home based in Lymington.
This role involves providing high-quality, person-centred care to children and young people within a safe, structured, and nurturing environment. You will support their emotional well-being, behavioural development, and daily routines while ensuring safeguarding standards are maintained at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day care and support within a children’s residential setting
* Support emotional, behavioural, and social development
* Promote independence, dignity, and well-being
* Follow strict safeguarding and child protection procedures
* Assist with daily routines (meals, education, activities, bedtime)
* Maintain accurate care plans, logs, and reports
* Work effectively within a team-based care environment
Shift Patterns (Rota) Waking Night Shifts
* Rolling 2-week rota:
* Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
* Week 2: Wednesday & Thursday
* Hours: 21:30 – 08:00
Day Shifts (35 Hours Contract)
* 07:30 – 21:30
* 06:30 – 20:30
* 14:30 – 21:30
Flexibility is essential as shifts are based on service requirements
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in Children’s Residential Care / Support Work
* NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) – Desirable
* Strong knowledge of Safeguarding & Child Protection
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour professionally
* Full UK Driving Licence (Required)
* Must have full right to work in the UK (No sponsorship available)
