Overall Purpose of the Role:
Duties Include:
- Writing and checking medical diet menus for different allergies, intolerances, and medical conditions
- Supporting and mentoring key contracts in the South
- Regular communication with parents, schools, catering teams and medical professionals
- Completing medical diet audits across our schools
- Delivering training workshops to catering teams
- Reporting any incidents & working with HSE to investigate
- Being highly visible on the ground to support our colleagues
- Involvement in key projects and delivery of these projects across the business.
- Being a key representative of the medical diets team to operators, clients and schools.
Person Specification
Must have degree (BSc) in Nutrition or other relevant degree
Experience in working with people with allergies and intolerances is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
Experience using nutritional analysis system such as Saffron (or equivalent) desirable but not essential as full training provided
Excellent IT skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt communication to a range of stakeholders including clients, parents, and pupils
Excellent organisation skills with ability to manage a busy inbox and a high volume of workload
Confident in communicating to large groups of people and controlling challenging meetings/conversations
Ability to work under pressure and met deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail
Demonstrates can do attitude
Passion for keeping up to date with latest nutrition research and legislation
Must be willing to travel and stay away from home occasionally
