About the role
As Care Home Deputy Manager & Clinical Lead of a Barchester care home, you will support the delivery of quality care. Working closely with the General Manager and taking on leadership duties in their absence, you will help with ensuring care standards, motivating the team, leading audits, supervising clinical practice and monitoring regulatory compliance. You will set high standards and develop strategies to achieve these goals.
About you
You are a Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration and a teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification. Experience with residents of varied health needs, a track record of managing safeguarding investigations, clinical risk assessments, HR duties, sales and marketing knowledge, understanding of budget management, and support for newly qualified nurses through preceptorship are required. Compassion, resilience and determination to deliver quality care are essential.
Responsibilities

* Conduct regular audits, supervise clinical practice and monitor regulatory compliance.
* Assume leadership duties in the absence of the General Manager.
* Develop and implement strategies to meet quality objectives.

* Support newly qualified nurses through preceptorship and promote professional development.
Essential qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RN/RMN) with current NMC registration.
* Teaching/mentoring/supervision qualification.
* Experience managing safeguarding investigations and clinical risk assessments.
* HR experience and knowledge of sales and marketing.
* Understanding of budget management.
* Experience supporting newly qualified nurses.
