Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. Were looking for a talented Transport Supervisor to join us, working day time hours at our site in Daventry.

Were looking to offer a competitive salary. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What youll do on a typical day:
* Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
* Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business
* Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
* Responsible for the daytime transport operation:
o Ensure that vehicles are planned properly
o Dispatch & debrief drivers as per company policy
o Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed correctly
o Ensure depot compliance is up to date on Tacho management system, and all infringements are signed off in a timely manner.
o Investigate and rectify any missing mileage
o Manage breakdowns and defects in a timely manner
o Send appropriate and accurate handover
* Fleet Compliance, including MOTs etc
* Health and Safety management
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* A good understating of fast-paced transport teams
* Excellent communication skills youll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
* Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
