We are looking to appoint a highly organised and motivated Attendance Manager to join our supportive secondary school in Heywood. This is a key role within our pastoral team, ensuring that every student has the best opportunity to succeed through excellent school attendance.
The Role:
* Lead on the monitoring and management of student attendance and punctuality.
* Work closely with students, families, and staff to promote the importance of good attendance.
* Analyse attendance data and prepare reports for senior leaders and governors.
* Implement strategies and interventions to improve persistent absence.
* Liaise with external agencies where required to support attendance.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Previous experience in an education or pastoral setting (attendance/welfare experience desirable).
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and parents.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Confident in using school management information systems (SIMS/Arbor or similar) and MS Office.
* A proactive, resilient, and solution-focused approach.
