Role Overview: The Electrical Contracts Manager will support the M&E Operations Manager in the service & delivery of maintenance & improvement contracts within the M&E division. They will have full oversight of electrical works undertaken & support the management of Sub-Contractors, Direct Labour, Stores, & Supply Chain Partners. Key components of this role would be the management and coordination of the self-deliver MTC works alongside management of capital works projects and input into quotations and tendering procedures. Success in the role is to deliver all contracted Response, Servicing and capital works in line with client KPI requirements and internal targets. Ensuring staff understand their roles, while providing adequate resources, organizing work & closely monitoring outcomes to ensure all works are being completed safely, on time, to specification, and within budget. Additional to this, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for managing Client relationships, ensuring transparency and that robust channels of communication exist and are maintained. Key Activities / Responsibilities: To assist in the management of KPIs for contracts Attend Huddles and utilize contract performance information to assist in contract delivery. Drive and manage H&S Compliance in all work practices. Monitoring this through H&S Inspections carried out on site visits. Deliver required H&S review targets internally and externally. Assist the team (inclusive of Supply chain) to fully comply with all work processes using CFM IT systems, ensuring PDAs are in place to manage high volumes of work efficiently & ensuring absolute compliance across all workstreams. Retain an overview of the works allocated with the supply chain/ CFM Teams, advising and coaching staff to ensure CFM M&E division operates as efficiently as possible with each contractor/ trade maximizing productivity. Assist with performance management of supply chain, ensuring supply chain delivery mirrors CFMs. including compliance, quality, certification, and adherence to agreed schedules. Liaise with Client and assist with service delivery matters, responding to queries, complaints, and assisting with any PLIC claims for Contracts within the M&E department. Liaise with clients regarding project commencement dates, access arrangements and general queries around works being carried out by CFM. Assist in resolving any Client Complaints Liaise with the Stores Personnel to ensure all Materials are available to keep work streams operating according to the Planned Schedules. Ensure communication of any materials shortages is highlighted promptly & communication with clients is clear and timely to manage expectations. Assist with and champion Continuous Improvement and LEAN initiatives within the department by identifying more efficient ways of doing things. Act as deputy for M&E Operations Manager in relation to Electrical workstreams as required for general duties during absence, including the attendance of key meetings, client point of contacts and assist team members with their duties when necessary to maintain service delivery. Attend client meetings representing CFM in a professional manner at all times. To perform the job in accordance with the companys policies and procedures. Liaise daily and as required with M&E Operations Manager, Administration, Planning and QSs teams on workstream updates and work in progress. Managing and developing sub-contractor relations and performance ensuring excellent service delivery of the contract is being achieved Providing support, guidance and training to direct labour & sub-contractor staff ensuring operatives clearly understand their roles, contract compliance and to ensure high levels of client satisfaction Carry out thorough site surveys ensuring the information added to the job details is adequate. Including but not limited to an accurate list of details relating to materials & works to be carried out allowing the works to be planned and carried out efficiently & profitably Be the central field operations point of contact for Senior management and administration personnel for all work relating to the relevant contracted works. Ensuring authorisation is sought on all variations and appropriate sign off is achieved. Managing this function through the departments standard operating procedures. Carryout quality site inspections while internal and external operatives are on site completing works ensuring quality control of work. Assist in the interviewing and induction processes of all new staff within the department ensuring they receive adequate training and advice on job role and company processes, prior to them commencing work To perform any other duties as may be reasonably required. Education / Experience: Essential Criteria Experienced in Facilities Management and/or electrical capital works Industry Good written & verbal communication skills Experience in the delivery of small to medium scale electrical capital works project A valid UK Drivers Licence Desirable Criteria: CSR Supervisor Card or NVQ equivalent Previous experience in a Leadership Role IT Skills & knowledge of Microsoft applications (Outlook, Word, Excel,) Previous experience in working within the social housing sector Previous experience working within electrical, commercial and industrial sector Keen electrical knowledge through completion of an electrical apprenticeship, with relevant experience working in the industries noted 2391 Qualification in Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations Basic to intermediate level of Knowledge in relation to Mechanical systems Skills / Competencies: Be personally organised at all times Good communication & interpersonal skills Be able to foster a team ethic with colleagues Ability to focus & remain calm under pressure Ability to keep track of multiple tasks or projects & manage their own time effectively Ability to problem solve and make quick decisions regarding H&S, executing work & disciplinary issues Ability to think outside the box regarding improvements to efficiencies
