Job Title: Associate Director – Façades\nLocation: North West\nSalary: £100,000+ (negotiable based on experience)\nEmployment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nWe are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Associate Director – Façades to lead our façade consultancy division in the North West. This is a senior leadership role with strategic, technical, and operational responsibilities, playing a vital role in driving business growth, mentoring teams, and delivering high-quality façade engineering solutions across a range of complex projects.\n\nThe ideal candidate will bring deep technical knowledge of façade systems, strong commercial awareness, and a proven track record of leadership in consultancy or specialist contractor environments.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\n * \n\n Lead and manage a team of façade engineers, consultants, and technical specialists across multiple projects.\n\n * \n\n Provide expert advice on façade design, performance, materials, and compliance from concept through to delivery.\n\n * \n\n Maintain oversight of all technical outputs, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.\n\n * \n\n Develop and nurture client relationships, supporting business development and strategic partnerships.\n\n * \n\n Drive the growth of the façade division in the North west, contributing to business planning, resourcing, and profitability.\n\n * \n\n Support bids, tenders, and fee proposals with technical and commercial input.\n\nRequirements:\n\n * \n\n Degree-qualified in façade engineering, architecture, structural engineering, or a related discipline.\n\n * \n\n Minimum 10 years' experience within the façade industry, with at least 3 years in a senior or associate/director-level role.\n\n * \n\n Extensive knowledge of curtain walling, rainscreen cladding, glazing systems, and full building envelope solutions.\n\n * \n\n Strong understanding of UK building regulations, façade testing standards (e.g., CWCT), and fire performance requirements.\n\n * \n\n Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver complex, high-value projects.\n\n * \n\n Excellent communication, leadership, and client-facing skills.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * \n\n Chartered status (CEng, MICE, MIFireE, or similar) or membership of a relevant professional body.\n\n * \n\n Experience in façade remediation, recladding, and compliance with the Building Safety Act.\n\n * \n\n Established network within the construction and façade consultancy sectors.\n\nWhat We Offer:\n\n * \n\n Salary starting from £100,000, with additional performance-based incentives.\n\n * \n\n Leadership position within a growing, respected façade consultancy.\n\n * \n\n Career progression into directorship or partner-level opportunities.\n\n * \n\n Flexible working options and high-level autonomy.\n\n * \n\n Access to prestigious UK and international projects across commercial, residential, and public sectors
