About the Role
As a Sous Chef, you'll support the Head Chef, lead and engage the kitchen team, and ensure the effective and safe running of shifts. Your focus will be on maintaining high standards in food quality, safety, and hygiene, and ensuring our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Candidate Profile
* Likely an existing Sous Chef or a Junior Sous Chef/Assistant Kitchen Manager aiming to advance
* Experience with fresh ingredients and solid kitchen skills (food prep, hygiene, knife skills)
* Proactive, leading from the front, committed to high standards
* Driven and focused on overcoming challenges
* Knowledge of KPIs, decision-making in absence of the Head Chef, labour, stock, and food safety
* Excellent communication skills for stakeholder management and team leadership
* Understanding of rota scheduling, sales, labour forecasting, recruitment, HR
* Experience in training and recruiting kitchen staff, including apprentices and junior roles
