We have an exciting role on offer within our Access and Safeguarding Service as a Housing Solutions Officer - Private Rented Sector.

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join the Housing Solutions Team who will take on a specific role to support applicants around the pending changes to the Private Rented Sector with the implementation of the Renters Rights Act 2025.
We are looking for someone who can:
Work in close partnership with the colleagues in Environmental Health and Public Protection with regards to all relevant aspects of the Renters Right Act.
Carry out homelessness assessments in line with the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and aim to prevent homelessness wherever possible using creative and collaborative methods.
Be creative and innovative in your approach to supporting people at risk of homelessness.
Liaise with landlords where necessary to make enquiries around evictions.
Work as part of the wider Housing Solutions Team to prevent and relieve homelessness wherever possible.
Record information accurately and in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate with colleagues, applicants and Stakeholders.
Help to promote the changes made by the new legislation to colleagues and stakeholders and take this message out into our neighbourhoods.
Whilst in post there will be development opportunities alongside flexible working with the option of a blended working environment (home and office where appropriate).

To be successful in this role you need to demonstrate how you prioritise development and well-being of a team, have experience of working effectively with a range of services and have the skills, passion and resilience to work creatively with service users who are accessing Housing Solutions.
