8 am - 4.30 pm, 5 days a week, Monday - Friday
To ensure the safe, efficient, and welcoming environment of the dementia care home by carrying out general maintenance, repairs, and upkeep of the premises. The handyperson plays a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of residents by maintaining a homely, hazard-free space that promotes comfort, dignity, and safety.
Key responsibilities:
1. Carry out repairs, maintenance and odd jobs as required within the location
2. Removal of waste and debris once work is completed
3. Maintain outdoor areas such as gardens, pathways, and car parks to ensure safety and accessibility.
4. Follow Health and safety procedures and carry out health and safety checks as required
5. Keep accurate records of maintenance work, inspections, and repairs
Skills & Experience:
6. Proven experience in general maintenance or gardening.
7. Understanding of health and safety regulations.
8. Experience working in a care environment (desirable but not essential).
9. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
