Information Join the Dr Bruce Fund Board as an Independent Member Are you passionate about supporting charitable work in East Lothian? The Dr Bruce Fund is seeking a lay member of the public to join its Board of Trustees. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the governance and future direction of a local charitable trust that awards grants to individuals and organisations in need. This post is not remunerated but expenses will be reimbursed. The maximum time commitment will be around 1-2 hours per month. The appointment will be made by East Lothian Council and will be in place until December 2027. About the role Help oversee the fund’s activities and ensure proper financial stewardship of public funds Support effective governance and arrangements for securing best value Distribute funds as per the Dr Bruce will governance requirements No prior experience in finance or charity governance is required — just a commitment to public service and community values.
