Town Planner – Exeter
Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join their growing team in Exeter.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive environment, delivering a wide variety of planning projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. The consultancy is highly regarded for its expert advice, client-focused approach, and strong regional presence.
The Role
As a, you will:
* Prepare and manage planning applications, appeals, and appraisals
* Provide professional planning advice to clients, stakeholders, and local authorities
* Undertake site appraisals and policy reviews
* Contribute to the preparation of planning statements and supporting documents
* Work collaboratively with colleagues across planning and development teams
Qualifications
* RTPI accredited degree or master’s in Town Planning or a related discipline
* Ideally working towards or already MRTPI chartered status
* 1-3 years of professional planning experience (private or public sector)
* Strong communication, analytical, and report-writing skills
* A motivated and proactive attitude with a genuine passion for planning
