Key Support Tasks
* Manage and maintain her physical and mental health
* Live in a safe and habitable home environment
* Access the community and reduce isolation
* Develop and maintain motivation to make positive lifestyle changes
* Build her confidence and work toward greater independence
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Supporting the employer with encouragement in gaining independence
2. Enabling the employer to interact socially in their community
3. Providing support to the employer whilst shopping and attending activities of interest
4. Supporting the employer to develop independent living skills
5. Providing companionship in the employer's home, including engaging in conversation and providing social interaction
6. Encouraging the employer to attend appointments
7. Ensuring the employer's safety at all times during working hours
8. Carrying out any other reasonable tasks requested by the employer during working hours
9. Ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act
10. Being mindful of safeguarding issues and reporting any concerns to Carmarthenshire County Council immediately (01267 228751)
11. Being responsible for contacting the GP, Social Worker or Local Authority if the employer requires medical assistance

1. Ability to develop a supportive and caring relationship with the employer
2. Upward ability to undertake all duties in a friendly and helpful manner
3. Capability to contact people on behalf of the employer when necessary
