About The Role
Job Summary
The Quality Engineer based in PPR, is responsible for applying practical knowledge to ensure that manufacturing processes and outputs meet quality standards. This includes auditing, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision.
Key Responsibilities
* Create, issue, and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), ensuring compliance across internal teams and suppliers.
* Compile and maintain Manufacturing Record Books (MRBs) with full traceability and accurate documentation.
* Review internal and supplier certification against ITP requirements, industry standards, and customer specifications.
* Support inspections, NCRs/CAPAs, and continuous improvement initiatives to drive right first time quality.
Experience & Background
* Experience in a quality role within the oil & gas or energy sector.
* Ideally experienced with pumps or rotating equipment.
* Engineering background (apprenticeship, HNC/HND, or degree in a mechanical/technical field).
* Strong understanding of ITPs, MRBs, supplier quality processes, and certification requirements.
Skills & Competencies
* Exceptional attention to detail with a methodical and structured approach.
* Strong communication skills for working with suppliers, engineering, and internal teams.
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Problem solving capability, including root cause analysis and corrective action management.
