Job Title: Safer Neighbourhood Officer Pay Rate: £16.65/hour Purpose of the Role Support safer communities by addressing anti-social behaviour, environmental crime, and on-street drinking. Act as a visible presence in neighbourhoods, offering guidance and working with partners to resolve local issues efficiently. Key Responsibilities Patrol neighbourhoods and enforce local by-laws (e.g. littering, noise, dog fouling, on-street drinking). Investigate complaints, gather evidence, and issue warnings or fixed penalties. Work with community groups and service providers to address concerns. Assist with clean-up operations, crime prevention schemes, and youth diversion initiatives. Participate in joint operations and attend community meetings or events. Build strong relationships with residents, businesses, and partners. Manage low-level incidents and escalate more serious issues when needed. Supervise and support staff when required. Essential Criteria Full UK driving licence (or access to transport for fulfilling duties).
