I am recruiting for a Staff Officer Accountant on behalf of the Northern Ireland Civil Service for the Northern Ireland Courts and Tribunal Services-Accountability,ernance and Projects Team, which offers the work/life balance everyone deserves and that hybrid/ flexibility needed.
Your new role
To support the DP Accountant to deliver the core work activities and objectives of the Accountability,ernance and Projects Team within the Finance Branch.
The duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Assisting with the planning and preparation of the statutory Trust Statement for NICTS
2. Liaising with PSNI, Fixed Penalty Office and Fine Collection Service to ensure all information required to produce the annual Trust statement is available
3. Month and year-end journals and reconciliations of MIS and FPO reports
4. Trust Statement Bank Account Reconciliations
5. Assist with internal and external audits in relation to Agency accounts and Trust Statement
6. Investigating matches for National Fraud Initiative
7. FPO telebanking transfers
8. Reviewing Agency cash receipts to identify transactions deemed high risk per Anti Money Laundering Guidance and reporting to Serious Crime Agency if required
9. Administration of monthly CFER pay over and surrender of Confiscation Monies to department
10. Adhoc financialernance duties
What you'll need to succeed
Active, paying member of an accredited accountancy body (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc.) or to be of an equivalent qualification standard.
