New Directions Education is currently recruiting passionate and nurturing Teaching Assistants to work in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at a welcoming primary school in Liverpool. The Role:
4. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will support children aged 3–5 in their early learning journey, working closely with class teachers and EYFS leads.
5. Provide one-to-one or small group support, helping to develop language, communication, social, and motor skills.
6. Assist with play-based learning, story time, phonics, and early numeracy activities.
7. Support the day-to-day routines in the EYFS setting, including snack time, outdoor play, and transitions.
8. Monitor and record children’s progress, contributing to observations and planning.
The Ideal Candidate:
9. Experience within a nursery, preschool, or reception class is highly desirable.
10. A background in childcare, education, or early years settings would be an advantage, though not essential.
11. Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and register with the Update Service if not already completed.
12. Able to provide recent employment references covering the last 5 years.
