Admiral is looking for talented, dynamic, and experienced individuals to join our Serious & Specialist Injury Teams within our Catastrophic & Serious Injury (CSI) Department. As a claims handler with us, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact by managing some of Admiral's most complex claims with precision and care.

Main Duties
* To assess each claim – considering indemnity, liability & quantum and ensure that the claim is investigated as quickly as possible, with due regard given to the economics of an individual case.
* Effectively and proactively manage your caseload, so that work is dealt with appropriately with a focus on timely settlement of the claim.
* Demonstrate strong ownership of claims and be committed to achieving the best results for Admiral.
* Understand and consistently apply our unique reserve philosophy. To ensure that the reserve on the file is considered throughout the life of the case.
* Where applicable, ensure that claims are referred to the relevant manager with appropriate proposals and action plans are implemented within expected time frames.
* Establish a strong working relationship where appropriate with our suppliers and legal panel.
* Ensure familiarity with legal and industry updates and changes which affect complex claims handling practices.
* To attend and participate fully in training sessions and the training programme as a whole.
* A strong commitment to your self-development outside of workshops and training sessions.
* Attend out of offices where necessary in order to gain a full understanding of a claim and facilitate its economical settlement.
* To be a positive presence on the team and the wider department.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
* Experience managing a portfolio of motor claims valued in excess of £100,000 independently alongside good exposure to handling claims with a value in excess of £500k.
* Strong indemnity and liability knowledge.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Excellent written and communication skills.
* Detail oriented.
* Resilient with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Passion for a career handling high value motor claims and commitment to investing in their ongoing technical and professional development.
