Opportunity for a Project Manager to join the Life Science team in Macclesfield.
The Project Manager will report to the Framework Portfolio Manager and oversee a portfolio of projects ranging from £100k to £4.5m, with a total estimated value of £25m per annum. The role involves managing projects through various stages: design, approval, and construction, with teams reporting to the Project Manager.
Responsibilities include:
* Assist with the preparation of schedules, costs, and scope of works.
* Support scheduling, resource allocation, and project planning.
* Ensure construction phase plans comply with CDM 2015 and reflect project scope and schedule.
* Coordinate with quantity surveyors and commercial managers on contracts and procurement.
* Lead project kick-off meetings and manage project teams across all functions.
* Liaise with project controls, information management, BIM, and design teams.
* Support client presentations and reporting.
* Track project costs, schedules, and performance, reporting to the Portfolio Manager.
* Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are maintained.
Experience required:
* At least 5 years in construction or project management within a regulated environment.
* Knowledge of ECC NEC4 contracts.
* Experience managing multiple projects and teams.
* Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is beneficial.
* Understanding of full project lifecycle and client-facing communication skills.
* Commercial awareness regarding budgets, procurement, and change management.
* Leadership and team-building skills.
Qualifications:
* Construction-related academic or professional qualifications (e.g., SKE).
* Chartered status or trade experience.
* CSCS management card, SMSTS, and CDM 2015 knowledge.
* Understanding of project controls and NEC4 adherence.
