This role involves undertaking pat‑down security searches of patients in a high‑security forensic hospital environment, supporting the Occupational Therapy (OT) service in assessment and treatment sessions throughout patient stays.
We are looking for a resourceful, motivated individual. The successful candidate will demonstrate skill in engaging patients and working within a multidisciplinary clinical team, focusing on risk reduction and offending behaviour management.
Responsibilities
The post holder will work with qualified Occupational Therapists, delivering assessment and group treatment sessions. Sessions may also include one‑to‑one work with patients on and off the ward.
The role supports a range of services meeting the changing needs of patients at every stage of recovery.
Opportunities for progression exist via the professional route, an Occupational Therapy apprenticeship, or through Vocational Services and skill‑based learning for patients.
