Description
Priory Hospital Roehampton is looking to recruit a Qualified Occupational Therapist to join the team. This is a full-time/37.5 hour role.
We are set back within landscaped gardens, the tranquil environment of the Priory Hospital Roehampton offers calming and recovery focused residential treatment for up to 100 service users, as well as day care and outpatient services.
Specialising in the management and treatment of mental health problems including addictions and eating disorders, our multidisciplinary team deliver personalised treatment programmes and have established an excellent reputation for providing the highest standards of care.
The Private Adult Service, which the successful candidate would join, is made up of three wards offers general psychological care/support to a service user population of up to 45.
What you'll be doing
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.
* Work across three private adult wards, reporting to the Private Adult Therapy Lead, as part of an experienced multidisciplinary therapy team.
* Deliver evidence-based, patient-centred psychological interventions in both 1:1 and group settings, supporting patients in developing confidence, life skills, and coping strategies for independent living.
* Facilitate therapeutic groups such as Goal Setting, Life Skills, and Stress Management, and support patients during Equine Therapy sessions.
* Maintain strong professional relationships within the MDT, ensuring clinical practice aligns with Priory policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards.
* Benefit from extensive internal training opportunities, monthly clinical and managerial supervision, and access to CPD funding (post-probation) to support ongoing professional development.

We are seeking a qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC, to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will support patients in developing the skills, confidence, and coping strategies needed for independent living through both individual and group interventions, including Goal Setting, Life Skills, Stress Management, and Equine Therapy. They will work closely with clinical colleagues to ensure practice aligns with Priory policies, statutory regulations, and quality standards. Experience working with adults with mental health difficulties is essential, along with strong communication skills, professionalism, and a flexible, team-focused approach. We offer a range of internal training opportunities, and CPD funding is available following successful probation.
