Join Ebbsfleet Green Primary School as our First Community Ambassador
Be the Bridge Between School and Community!
Hours: 15–16 per week
Contract: 2-year fixed term
Term Time Only: 38 weeks per year
Are you passionate about connecting people, building strong community links, and making a real difference for children and families? Do you love bringing people together and creating opportunities that help everyone thrive?
This is a unique opportunity to lead our community engagement work — building meaningful partnerships between families, local organisations, and the school.
About the Role
As our Community Ambassador, you will:
1. Build relationships with local businesses, charities, and services
2. Support and organise events like coffee mornings, family workshops, and community days
3. Represent the school in the local area and raise its profile
4. Signpost families to support services and local resources
5. Work closely with our inclusion and wellbeing teams, and the wider Trust network
From welcoming families at the gate to coordinating projects that bring our community together — this role is about connection, creativity, and care.
You’ll work independently but never alone, supported by a friendly team at school and a Trust-wide network of Community Ambassadors. Your time will be split between the school site, the local community, and occasionally working from home.
Who You Are
You’re approachable, empathetic, and a natural communicator. You can build trust, organise your time effectively, and adapt to the changing needs of families and the school. Most importantly, you’re passionate about helping others and making a difference.
You might have experience in:
6. Running school or community events (e.g. PTA, fundraisers, youth clubs)
7. Volunteering with local groups or charities
8. Supporting families or working in customer or community-facing roles
If you’ve ever played a role in connecting people or supporting your community — we’d love to hear from you.
