An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planning and Development Officer to work within the Renfrewshire Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) Support Team. The post will be part of a small, dynamic team collaborating with partners to deliver key elements of local and national strategic frameworks, ranging from prevention and early intervention initiatives to developing recovery-oriented systems of care.
The post holder will support the complex work of the ADP and be committed to service improvement to achieve positive outcomes for individuals affected by alcohol and drugs. An important aspect of the role is to ensure the views of individuals with lived/living experience are captured to influence the ADP's focus areas.
Qualifications and Experience
* Educated to degree level in an alcohol and drug-related subject.
* Experience working in the drug and alcohol field, including at a strategic level.
Knowledge and Skills
* Specialist knowledge of national policies related to drugs and alcohol, especially around drug-related and alcohol-specific deaths.
* Understanding of evidence-based practice, evaluation, and research.
* Effective IT and communication skills.
* Knowledge of issues affecting alcohol and drug users and barriers to recovery.
* Familiarity with operations within Renfrewshire HSCP/Council and ability to contribute to strategy development and recommend changes.
