Director of Applications - Band 9
The BSW Hospitals Group is seeking an outstanding digital leader to shape and steward our applications landscape. This is a pivotal senior role at the heart of our Group digital services function, responsible for ensuring our clinicians, operations teams and patients benefit from high functional, integrated and future ready digital systems.
As the Director of Applications you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Group’s digital systems portfolio, covering applications management, systems optimisation, testing, training and digital business management. You will lead the development and delivery of our applications strategy and roadmap ensuring our systems are aligned, interoperable and designed to support safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
Main Duties of the Job
A key part of your role will be enabling clinically led, operationally delivered, digitally enabled transformation. You will ensure robust processes are in place to support major change programmes and that post implementation benefits; clinical, operational, financial and workforce, are fully realized in line with the Group digital strategy.
As a senior leader within Digital Services you will act as a visible, customer focused partner to all parts of the Group. You will build strong collaborative relationships with clinical, operational and corporate teams ensuring our digital applications meet the needs of a complex and evolving healthcare environment.
You will act as the Digital Director at a designated care organisation, providing strategic leadership and local oversight. This is a Group wide role reporting into the Clinical Chief Digital and Information Officer, requiring presence and influence across all three Care Organisations.
