Role & Responsibilities of a shift engineer: Provide electrical & mechanical support & repairs for all production equipment & site services Fixing production machinery, industrial processing equipment, conveyors, packaging machinery, automation & controls, PLC's, SCADA Systems, robots, site services, facilities Supporting the engineering shift managers with project work - new machine & production line installs PPM's, electrical & mechanical fault finding, problem solving, machine upgrades PLC - electrical fault finding Mechanical fabrication, fitting, machining & welding to make parts & repairs Work as part of a weekend call-out / standby rota when needed (£200 additional payments) Knowledge, Skills & Experience needed to be a shift engineer: Must be a multi-skilled engineer (electrical & mechanical) Apprenticeship trained or a time-served engineering with mechanical & electrical qualifications At least 4 years+ ...
