As part of their ongoing growth, they are now seeking a NOC Technical Support Engineer to join their team in Redruth, Cornwall. Main Purpose of the Role: Provide first and second-line technical support for satellite communications services via the Network Operations Centre (NOC). Monitor, diagnose, and resolve technical faults across satellite networks and associated systems. Ensure customers receive prompt, professional, and effective technical support. Key Responsibilities: Monitor satellite and terrestrial network systems to identify and address service issues. Provide real-time support for end users, field engineers, and internal teams. Carry out fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network issues. Escalate complex faults to senior engineers or third-party suppliers where required. Maintain accurate and detailed records of incidents, service requests, and resolutions. Assist in the commissioning and configuration of new services and network elements. Ensure all support activities comply with company policies, procedures, and SLAs. Participate in shift patterns to ensure 24/7 NOC coverage. What They Are Looking For: Strong technical knowledge of satellite communications, networking, IP protocols, and telecommunications systems. Previous experience in a NOC, technical support, or network operations environment. Solid troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex faults. Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused approach. Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks, and meet tight deadlines. Strong team player who can also work independently. Relevant qualifications in Telecommunications, IT Networking, or Engineering. Experience with RF, VSAT, satellite modems, routers, firewalls, and monitoring systems is highly desirable.
