Housing Officer - Temporary Accommodation
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Officer position in The City of Edinburgh Council's Temporary Accommodation Service, within Housing and Homelessness.
Our Housing Officers provide a range of housing management services, information, assessment, and advice to tenants, homeless individuals, residents, neighbours, and those seeking housing advice. The role includes coordinating other housing and support services to ensure effective delivery of services for our customers and homeless people.
You will work to legislative and best practice requirements, collaborating with statutory services and partner organizations. The role requires resilience, ownership, and staying updated on current legislation and changes.
Customer focus is essential; you will respect and understand their concerns and needs, inspiring confidence and respect. You will be sensitive to the challenges faced by many of our customers.
This position involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo an update check. If you have spent 3 or more months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
