Main Duties
* Undertake both holistic and specific (e.g. functional, sensory) occupational assessment of physical and mental health and wellbeing needs.
* Plan, deliver and evaluate effective and evidence based occupational therapy interventions.
* Contribute to the development and maintenance of the therapeutic ward community and environment, embracing current clinical initiatives i.e. Sensory Friendly, Trauma Informed practices.
* Establish relationships and collaborate with the range of parties engaged in the person's care, in response to their needs e.g. MDT, EBEs, carers, range of community services.
* Supervise and contribute to the development, delivery and evaluation of therapeutic ward activities.
Qualifications
* UK professional registration in Occupational Therapy.
* Experience of working in an inpatient mental health setting.
* Strong assessment and intervention skills, including sensory friendly and trauma informed approaches.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills.
* Leadership and supervision experience preferred.
