Overview
Exclusively retained by our client, we seek a highly experienced and skilled Residence/House Manager to oversee all aspects of the day-to-day operations and management of an exclusive boutique hotel-style residence on a country estate belonging to an Ultra High Net Worth Individual (UHNWI). The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership qualities, strong organisational skills, and extensive experience in hospitality management. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to lead and inspire a team to deliver unparalleled service and luxury experience.
Accountabilities
Overall Management:
* Take full responsibility for the overall management and operations of the residence, ensuring the highest standards of service, hospitality, and guest satisfaction.
* Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the guest experience and exceed expectations.
* Maintain an immaculate and luxurious environment throughout the residence.
Team Leadership:
* Recruit, train, and manage a team of staff members, including butlers, housekeepers, chefs, and other service staff.
* Provide ongoing leadership, guidance, and support to ensure team members deliver exceptional service and maintain professional standards at all times.
* Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork, morale, and employee engagement.
* Managing and delivering an efficient and engaging first-class HR function.
Guest Relations:
* Act as the primary point of contact for the UHNWI and their guests, anticipating their needs and preferences to ensure a seamless and personalised experience.
* Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally, resolving any issues to the complete satisfaction of all parties involved.
* Maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners to facilitate exceptional guest experiences.
Financial Management:
* Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to optimise efficiency and profitability.
* Monitor expenses, control costs, and identify opportunities for cost-saving measures without compromising quality or service standards.
* Prepare regular reports and presentations for the UHNWI, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
Maintenance and Operations:
* Oversee the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the residence, ensuring all facilities and equipment are in excellent working condition.
* Coordinate with external contractors and service providers to address maintenance issues or renovations.
* Implement and maintain strict security and health and safety protocols to safeguard the property, assets, and privacy of the UHNWI and their guests.
Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
* Relevant and up-to-date qualifications encompassing the full spectrum of high-end hospitality service delivery.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the luxury hospitality industry, preferably in a boutique hotel or private residence setting.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor a diverse team of professionals.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, staff, and stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent organisational abilities with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
* Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial analysis, and cost control.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
* Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
