Role Overview We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Project Sales Engineer to join our team. This role bridges technical engineering knowledge with project management and sales acumen. The ideal candidate will understand complex engineering challenges, manage project lifecycles, and develop effective client solutions from initial enquiry through to delivery. Key Responsibilities Act as a technical point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and proposing tailored engineering solutions. Manage the full sales cycle, including site assessments, solution development, proposal writing, cost estimation, and presentation of technical offers. Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to specification. Prepare and manage project documentation including technical drawings, schedules, and risk assessments. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless project execution. Support the commercial and technical teams in developing long-term client relationships and identifying new business opportunities. Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. Collaborate across internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences. Maintain accurate records and forecasts using CRM and business intelligence tools. Essential Criteria Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or a related Engineering discipline. 3 years experience in a technical sales, project engineering, or project management role within a relevant industry. Strong project management skills with a proven track record of managing technical projects. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications. Commercial awareness and confidence in client-facing roles. Proficiency in MS Office and project management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar). Self-starter with a strong drive to achieve targets and deliver results. Skilled in building long-term relationships through face-to-face interactions. Desirable Criteria Experience in energy efficiency, renewables, or decarbonisation projects.
