English Teacher Full Time Permanent Bournemouth Start date: September 2024 The School and Role We are currently working with a mainstream secondary school in the Bournemouth area. The desired English Teacher will be supported by an outstanding and passionate management team, and will work alongside some excellent practitioners, who put children at the heart of everything they do. The desired English Teacher must have experience of working within an English department and be comfortable teaching English at Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4). Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with the school's curriculum and educational objectives. Foster a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking. Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to cater to the diverse learning needs of students. Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support academic growth and development. Collaborate with colleagues within the English department and across other subject areas to share best practices and promote interdisciplinary learning. Engage with parents and caregivers to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns or questions. Participate in school-wide events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities as Requirements - Have experience teaching secondary education at KS3/KS4 - Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. - Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment and contribute to the overall success of the English department.
