This role is definitely a role for someone who is serious about their career – please note that this role will involve a substantial amount of travelling between main Head office and this Clients Sites which are predominantly based around the South East of the UK.
About the Role
As a Technical Construction/ Engineering Documentation Co-ordinator, you will be at the heart of our Clients projects, ensuring the seamless collation, organization, and management of technical documentation during testing, commissioning, and handover phases. You’ll thrive in a collaborative setting, working closely with clients, project stakeholders, and internal teams to drive efficiency and maintain the highest of standards for this Client. Working within this small team (division) of 8 you will report directly into the Technical Project Manager who has surrounded themselves with a young team of like-minded individuals all driven with purpose and clarity of their mission and goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Organize and manage technical files, drawings, and documentation with precision.
* Develop comprehensive testing and handover packs.
* Drive efficient workflows by expediting and tracking technical documentation.
* Facilitate collaboration among clients, consultants, contractors, and sub-contractors.
* Implement and improve documentation review processes to ensure simplicity and effectiveness.
* Oversee the collation and distribution of commissioning documentation at project handover.
* Maintain meticulous records of all incoming and outgoing technical documents.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
* Relevant certifications in document control or commissioning.
Knowledge:
* A solid understanding of engineering / manufacturing principles.
Experience:
* Proven expertise in document control and technical documentation workflows.
Skills – Personal:
* Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
* Professional demeanour with excellent communication abilities.
* A collaborative mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
Skills – Technical:
* Proficiency with document-sharing platforms and office software.
* Familiarity with InDesign (is a bonus but not essential).
