Do you want to work in a brand-new acute Mental Health service, where you will be an integral part of shaping the care pathways and building the culture alongside the senior leadership team?
If you are a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience working with inpatient populations, including those treated under the Mental Health Act, and are interested in providing care for women and men who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental disorders, then join the new team at Dunnock View (Application submitted subject to CQC registration).
Your Role
As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will assume RC responsibility for Dunnock View (pending final CQC registration). You will be supported by a non-consultant grade doctor and the Lead Consultant Psychiatrist. You will actively support clinical governance processes and contribute to the development of the service.
Your Responsibilities
* Ensure safe assessment, treatment, and discharge of admitted patients
* Medication management
* Quality assurance, handling complaints, and co-production
* Delivery of NICE guidance
* Lead and manage the CPA and ICR processes to ensure compliance with quality standards
You will also participate in the On Call Consultant rota.
Requirements
* Medical qualification, MRC Psych or equivalent
* Innovative with decision-making abilities
* Understanding of current developments in psychiatry and mental health
* Knowledge of change management, relevant legislation, and contractual issues
* Previous experience as a Consultant
