Overview

The O’Connell House is seeking an enthusiastic, driven, and dynamic Clinical Operations Manager to provide and implement superior clinical care and clinical programming to our clients. The Clinical Operations Manager is the supervisor entrusted with the execution of mental health care program services to give our clients the best chance to succeed and thrive after treatment. This will be an exciting entrepreneurial start-up environment in which one should be comfortable.


Responsibilities and Duties

* Uphold and enforce the organization’s standards, policies and procedures, resident rights, and professional code of ethics and conduct, and complete additional duties as required if deemed necessary by administration.
* In collaboration with the TOH Clinician, create an intake process for survivors of sex trafficking to assess appropriate referrals for the program.
* In collaboration with the TOH Clinician, screen referrals and conduct intakes with the Residential Team.
* Oversee and possibly conduct initial assessment within 24-48 hours of a new resident at the O’Connell House and create an individualized mental health treatment plan.
* Provide individual counseling for survivors of sex trafficking, as needed.
* Provide diagnosis, case conceptualization, and treatment planning for the resident with the TOH Clinician.
* Coordinate with the referring agencies, community contacts, family, legal system, and other professionals involved in the resident’s treatment.
* Evaluate and update individualized treatment plan as needed.
* Maintains timely and quality documentation of progress notes, admission paperwork, and monthly reports.
* Provide group counseling to residents.
* In collaboration with TOH Clinician, verify that the programming and implementation of programming is trauma-informed and appropriate for clients’ needs.
* Train staff, religious sisters, and volunteers in working with this population.
* Develop an appropriate training program in compliance with policies and procedures.
* In collaboration with TOH Clinician, create policies and procedures.
* Complies with rules and regulations regarding ongoing review of clinical caseload to meet all licensing, state and federal requirements.
* Participate in weekly leadership meetings.
* Maintain client files according to licensing requirements.
* Assists in transitions to next level of care by coordinating with other agencies and/or family members, transitional housing, and all other professionals involved in the planned departure from the O’Connell House.
* Consults with the residential team weekly regarding clinical issues and helps direct the delivery of trauma-informed interventions with individual clients.
* Provides crisis management on an as needed basis to support direct care staff.
* Complete any other responsibilities or duties assigned by the TOH Clinician or Executive Director to support individualized treatment planning and case-management needs within the program.
* Oversees art and music healing therapy.
* Responsible for continuous quality management and performance improvement.
* Will uphold and respect all Catholic teachings.


Qualifications

* The Clinical Operations Manager must possess extensive knowledge of trauma-informed practices and care, a strong ability to solve complex problems, and have excellent decision-making skills, including critical thinking. The Clinical Operations Manager must also be mission-oriented and be comfortable working in a strong faith-based environment.
* The Clinical Operations Manager will possess skills and knowledge of the operations of a clinical team. The Clinical Operations Manager will be familiar with a variety of therapeutic modalities, theories and practices (i.e. Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and have a thorough understanding of Evidence-Based Treatment practices. This individual will be familiar with best practices for relevant levels of care and environments. The Clinical Operations Manager will possess managerial and supervisory skills (excellent verbal and written) and utilize these skills on a daily basis.
* The ideal candidate will be a Master’s Level, State and/or Board Licensed Social Worker, Clinician Psychologist, or APRN/RN with experience in a mental health treatment environment. Managerial experience with treatment of co-occurring disorders, trauma disorders and experience with homelessness, domestic violence and/or survivors of sex-trafficking. Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance with state board standards of care.
* Preferably three years of experience working in a relevant field.
* Excellent conflict resolution, crisis intervention, de-escalation, and staff training skills.
* Technologically skilled with demonstrated proficiency in Electronic Health Records, and Microsoft Office.
* Working clinical knowledge of criteria for admission, intake, assessment, continued stay, and discharge/termination.
* Work in a fast-paced environment; make independent decisions, communicate effectively when dealing with clients, families, staff, and other stakeholders.
* Refined and well-organized multi-tasking skills and in-depth problem-solving abilities.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification.
