Job Description
DBS DIT provides digital capability that supports corporate services across the Ministry of Defence, including Finance, Commercial, Payroll and Human Resources for Military Personnel, Civilian Personnel and Veterans. Our digital solutions comprise enterprise resource planning systems, performance management, analytics, automation, low code applications and public facing services through Gov.uk.
As a Delivery Manager, you will build and maintain teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well; identify obstacles and help the team to overcome them; focus the team on what is most important to the delivery of products and services; encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team; and coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools and techniques
Responsibilities
As a Delivery Manager you will support to DBS DIT AG Service Owner, Programme Managers, Senior Delivery Managers and wider AG team in the delivery of their AGs workstreams. At this role level you will:
* Provide support to Senior Delivery Managers. This includes:
* Assisting Senior Delivery Managers in Finance and Resource recording and cost tracking by:
* Owning AG Dashboard report, ensuring update and issuance on weekly basis to key stakeholders
* Ensure the team collaborates, communicates and focuses on what is most important;
* Coach team members and others, facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques for their environment;
* Supporting Senior Delivery Manager to overcome obstacles and get the best value against constraints.
