Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist

We are advertising a 6 month secondment for a Highly Specialist Paediatric Physiotherapist to work with our well established team in Callaghan house.
Main duties of the job
* To act as a specialist physiotherapist and a source of expertise on the physiotherapy management of children with complex respiratory needs, neurological and musculoskeletal conditions to parents/carers, other health care professionals, GPs and consultants.
* To provide the diagnosis, management and treatment of children presenting with complex respiratory needs in the acute and community setting, neurological and MSK conditions to the paediatric physiotherapy service.
* To take a lead role in the delivery of the community Paediatric Physiotherapy Service.
* To deputise for the band 7 Paediatric Physiotherapy Team Leader in their absence.

Qualifications
* Degree in physiotherapy or equivalent
* Evidence of CPD in the form of a detailed personal development portfolio
* NHS leadership courses or programmes
* Relevant paediatric training to a master’s level or to have undertaken equivalent postgraduate training
* Interview/recruitment training.
Professional Registration
* HCPC Registration
* Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
* Member of relevant special interest group
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Extensive level of post registration physiotherapy experience across a range of rotations and including respiratory, neurological, musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions at band 6
* Extensive experience of liaison with other professionals and working as part of a multi disciplinary team
* Evidence of relevant paediatric postgraduate experience/courses
* Teaching, supervisory and appraisal skills and experience
* Audit experience of own and others practice
* Experience of clinical governance including quality, audit and risk management
* Research and Development awareness and/or experience.
* Previous experience in a Senior role.

* Ability to work in a stressful and unpredictable environment
* Ability to carry out moderate physical activity throughout the day
* Flexible to meet the needs of the service.
