REMOTE WITH TRAVEL AROUND THE MIDLANDS
To demonstrate a high quality of professional practice and provide quality support and assessment at a variety of levels (Levels 2, 3 & 4) in Apprenticeship Standards.
The successful candidate will work with apprentices and employers to support learners in achieving the Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours of Apprenticeship Standards.
We welcome applications from both qualified Assessors / Tutors (i.e., those holding assessor and teaching qualifications), and industry-qualified engineers seeking a rewarding career in education and training. Applicants must be IT literate and willing to travel nationally as part of the role.
Main Duties:
1. Support and assess apprentices using a blended learning approach, and take responsibility for their development throughout training.
2. Provide support and guidance to learners.
3. Operate as an effective member of the engineering team and collaborate with other areas of the business.
4. Carry out administrative duties such as maintaining registers, schemes of work, assessments, reports, course records, and evaluations within deadlines.
5. Ensure safe working practices are observed by yourself and others, including learners.
6. Provide reports as required by company directors or the operations manager (engineering).
7. Assist in the recruitment process, including interviewing and enrolments.
8. Assist in developing curriculum support materials.
9. Organise and monitor work experience placements and liaise with industry partners.
10. Uphold principles of equality and diversity.
11. Maintain plant and machinery where practicable.
Additional Duties:
1. Undertake additional duties as required.
2. Ensure adherence to Health & Safety and Safeguarding procedures, observing safe working practices.
3. Promote the company ethos regarding Equality and Diversity and act as a role model.
4. Obtain qualification as a First Aider.
