Full-Time SEND Support Specialist – 37 Hours per Week We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a SEND Support Specialist, delivering high-quality, inclusive support to learners across our college. Key Responsibilities: Implement and champion inclusive education practices aligned with the Specialist Support Model and SEND Code of Practice. Design, monitor, and review tailored support programmes based on each learner’s Initial Needs Assessment and/or Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), ensuring statutory obligations are met. Regularly assess learner progress and ensure consistent tracking and reporting of outcomes. Collaborate closely with Campus Coordinators, Heads of Department, and the SEND Compliance Team to facilitate effective EHCP applications and assessments. Contribute to the continuous improvement of SEND provision across the college.What We’re Looking For: A relevant higher education qualification, such as a Foundation Degree in Inclusive Practice or a comparable specialist SEND qualification. Proven experience working with learners with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Strong understanding of the challenges faced by learners with SEND and how these impact learning and engagement.
