Castlefield Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a regionally based charity on the search for a Senior Financial Accountant to join their team. Tasked with improving the life chances of vulnerable people within society, this is the perfect setting for a socially conscious Accountant with strong technical skills to make a real difference. Due to a recent restructure and movement within the team they are now seeking an experience qualified Accountant with managerial experience to join the team on a permanent basis.
The successful candidate will receive a salary of c. £50,000 - £60,000 (DOE) along with an attractive pension scheme and annual leave allowance alongside a hybrid working pattern. Their offices are situated in a stunning area with free onsite parking, and they offer the chance to join a very supportive and dynamic team.
The Role
* Lead on the preparation of the statutory accounts to ensure they are compliant with relevant accounting standards
* Help improve processes, including month-end, year-end and preparation for audit
* Take a leading role with regards to budgets and forecasts including providing variance analysis and reporting to departmental heads
* Lead on the implementation of a new ERP system
* Provide line management and mentoring to direct and indirect reports
The Candidate
* You will be a qualified Accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) with demonstrable experience in a similar role
* Demonstrate experience in financial accounting and preparing statutory accounts
* Experience around implementation of an ERP system would be ideal
* Strong soft skill set and ability to report to a range of stakeholders
