We are looking to recruit a Housing Officer to join our Sanctuary Housing Services team based in our Bow Office in London. For this role you will be expected to deliver high quality housing management services that meet the identified needs of customers, the organisation and the wider community.
Responsibilities
* Effectively manage anti‑social behaviour cases
* Liaise with colleagues in Property Services and Lettings to ensure the effective allocation of void properties
* Manage tenant expectations regarding repairs and escalating maintenance issues affecting tenant welfare via appropriate channels
* Manage complaints about service delivery
* Work with other service areas to help the organisation meet compliance obligations such as fire safety, water hygiene, gas safety and data protection
* Deliver general advice on all aspects of tenancy to enable sustainability
* Work with a range of external agencies to resolve issues affecting tenant welfare, including domestic abuse, anti‑social behaviour and safeguarding
* Work closely with administrative colleagues to complete a range of tenancy management processes
Qualifications
* Proven experience undertaking a similar role
* Prior experience delivering high quality tenancy services
* Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to diagnose issues and implement solutions
* Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external customers
* Excellent customer service and negotiating skills
* Understanding of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Working knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
* Occasional travel may be required; a full valid driving licence is essential

* Role salary is £39,507 per annum
