Financial Controller - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Package: £100K-£110K Bonus & Benefits Yorkshire (Hybrid) We are seeking a Financial Controller to join a leading large business on a 12 month fixed-term contract (with potential for extension). This senior finance role provides oversight across multiple functions. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring compliance with IFRS and delivering accurate, transparent outputs. Oversee external reporting processes and statutory accounts, including coordination of external audits to Group timelines. Deliver of Group External Financial Statements Act as a trusted business partner to stakeholders across Operations, Commercial, and Central Functions. Provide technical accounting advice to support strategic decision-making. Drive improvements in internal controls and maintain a strong control environment. Manage balance sheet risks and opportunities, focusing on working capital and cash flow. Prepare Board-level outputs for significant accounting judgements and key deliverables. Oversee statutory cash flow processes and period-end reporting packs. Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as required. Skills & Experience Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA). Proven experience in external reporting, financial accounting, and audit processes. Background in Big 4 or large, complex organisations preferred. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and internal controls. Familiarity with large ERP systems. Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to deputise for the Financial Controller. Experience managing large finance teams.
