A Learning Support Assistant is needed in a Mixed Secondary School and Sixth Form in South West London. This will be a full-time long-term Learning Support Assistant position, with scope to go permanent.
Working days and hours for this Learning Support Assistant post will be Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Responsibilities for this Learning Support Assistant role will include but not be limited to:
* Supporting SEN and lower ability students in group or whole class intervention sessions
* Working with the teachers to ensure each student's learning needs are identified
* Attending to students' social, emotional and personal needs when required
* Supporting behaviour management and using appropriate strategies in line with academy policy
* Undertaking learning activities/teaching programmes when needed
The rates of pay for this Learning Support Assistant position will be between GBP82.14 to GBP100 a day, depending on the qualifications and experiences of each applicant.
The School is an Outstanding Secondary School and Sixth Form in the London Borough of Merton. It is a mixed, 11-18, non-selective school with a wide demographic of pupils and staff.
Requirements: Applications are welcome if you're a Graduate or experienced Learning Support Assistant. You're also welcome if you're a British trained Learning Support Assistant or overseas trained Learning Support Assistant.
All applicants must have the following in order to be considered for this position as a Learning Support Assistant:
* Right to work in the UK
* Clear and up to date Enhanced DBS
* UK Bachelor's Degree or overseas equivalent
* Experience of working with children/young people from the ages of 11 to 18 or as a Learning Support Assistant in UK schools
